Time Machine

The Weline Pro edge device supports Apple’s Time Machine feature. Once enabled, you can back up your Mac directly to the Weline Pro device.

① Enable/Disable Time Machine: Allow your Mac to connect to the device for backup and restore.

② Account: The account used to log in from macOS.

③ Alias: Set an alternate login alias for Time Machine.

④ Enable this Account: Enable this account for Time Machine access.

⑤ Set Password: When enabling Time Machine for the first time, set a password for authentication.

⑥ About Time Machine: Provides instructions on how to connect from macOS to the Weline Pro device using Time Machine.

Note: Apple’s Time Machine does not support the @ character in account names.

Connecting a Mac to Time Machine

1. On your Mac, go to System Settings > General > Time Machine.
2. Select Add Backup Disk…, then choose your device from the list and click Set Disk….
3. Enter the corresponding network account and password in the pop-up window, then click Connect.
4. After setup is complete, your Mac will automatically back up files to the Weline Pro device using Time Machine.
